Dharma teacher, shamanic practitioner, and writer Deborah Eden Tull came to the podcast to discuss befriending the darkness. Eden shares how darkness is deeply misunderstood in today's world, yet it offers powerful medicine, serenity, strength, healing, and regeneration. All insight, vision, creativity, and revelation arise from the darkness. We connect to an unwavering light within by learning to stay present and meet the dark with curiosity rather than judgment. Welcoming darkness with curiosity, rather than fear or judgment, enables us to access our innate capacity for compassion and collective healing. Day #10 of 10 I started this challenge to help you connect with your inner child more profoundly and intentionally. The goal of each meditation is to help you initiate a personal practice and communion with your inner child. Your inner child represents parts within you that are searching for healing, support, growth, validation, love, attention, and most importantly, compassion. And yet they are the least likely to get attention from us because they are painful to look at. When you visualize these parts as your inner child, it is much easier for you to give these the healing medicine they need. Through your inner child, you can help heal your past wounds in a more loving, gentle, softer, and compassionate way. A famous saying goes, "when the student is ready, the teacher appears."  So if you are curious about inner child work now,  I believe you are ready to allow your inner child to be your teacher!
